Flying from Karachi
The largest city in the Sindh province of Pakistan is served by the ultra-modern Jinnah International Airport. Named after the founder of the country, the airport is a major commercial and passenger hub for the region and connects to international destinations all over the world. Transportation and parking
Driving to the airport is easy – simply take the national N5 route straight there from the centre of Karachi. The airport is well signposted and clearly marked. Taxi services from the city are plentiful, and radio-cabs are also available for pre-booking. Regular bus services link the airport with the city, and the journey time is around 50 minutes, depending on traffic conditions in the centre of the city (which can be incredibly busy!).
There is a commuter train station close by that connects directly with the city centre. Parking is limited for the size of the airport, but is conveniently placed for passengers. Short-term parking is directly opposite the terminal building, while long-term car parks are slightly further away, but still within walking distance.
Arriving at Karachi
Passengers flying from Karachi with Qatar Airways will depart from the East Concourse. A VIP lounge is available to premium class and business class passengers, as well as certain credit and club card holders. Security at the airport is very tight, so allow extra time before your flight is due to depart to clear check in and security checks.
Facilities and amenities
The airport has excellent facilities, including prayer rooms for devotions, ATM, Bureau de Change and banking amenities, a mosque close to the main terminal, and extensive retail and food courts.
