Flying from Houston
Listed as one of the top 30 busiest airports in the world, the George Bush Intercontinental Airport serves Houston and the southeast area of Texas.
It is Texas' second largest air facility, after Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, and offers flights with a number of carriers, including Qatar Airways, to Canada, Central and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Modern and well-organized, the airport is one of the easiest to navigate your way around, thanks to friendly and helpful staff.

Catch the bus from the Downtown Transit Center station of the METRORail. Buses run every 30 minutes. An underground inter-terminal train outside of the sterile zone connects all five terminals, and a shuttle-bus service also runs from Terminal A to Terminals B and C.
The airport has over 25,000 parking spaces as well as the ecopark, which provides economy parking at the corner of Greens Road and John F. Kennedy Blvd. A free shuttle service connects to the terminals.

Tourist attractions
Lagos has over a dozen beaches. Close to the city is Lagos Bar Beach, which is a broad, sandy expanse but does tend to get crowded. If you’re looking for a quieter beach then head a little further out of town to Lekki Beach, Alpha Beach, Eleko Beach and Akodo Beach Ogogoro Island, or Atlas Cove. You’ll find a 110-year-old lighthouse taking pride of place at the aptly named Lighthouse Beach, one of the most tranquil and deserted of Lagos’ beaches.
The Lekki Conservation Centre is down on the Lekki/Epe expressway near Chevron, and is a haven for wildlife. A stroll around this well-run conservation centre gives you a window on Nigeria’s flora and fauna.
In the city you’ll find plenty of museums and exhibitions to explore, including the National Museum of Nigeria and the Nike Art Gallery, which is home to a very good collection of Nigerian folk art and contemporary works by young, up and coming African artists.
The National Theatre of Arts & Culture on the mainland is the epicentre for performing arts in the country. It puts on frequent shows of both traditional and contemporary dance as well as music concerts all year round.
