Welcoming a strategic partnership with American Airlines
We are pleased to announce the launch of our strategic partnership with American Airlines.
This long-term partnership will be introduced in phases with the first codeshare flights to operate starting 4 June 2020.
The first phase of the codeshare agreement will see Qatar Airways’ code placed on over 1,000 American Airlines’ domestic flights, which will strengthen connectivity and create hundreds of new travel possibilities for our passengers’ convenience.
Subsequent phases of the rollout will see the two airlines expanding this codeshare agreement.
Qatar Airways will soon have its code placed on American Airlines’ international flights across the Americas and Europe. American Airlines will then place its code on Qatar Airways’ flights between the USA, Qatar and beyond to a range of destinations in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Both airlines will also continue exploring the opportunity for American Airlines to operate flights between the USA and Qatar, along with a number of joint commercial and operational initiatives to further strengthen this renewed partnership.
