Qatar Airways’ Chief Executive Officer Mr Akbar Al Baker was presented the award by PATWA’s Secretary General Mr Sagar Ahluwalia, today at the ITB Berlin travel exhibition – one of Europe’s biggest travel shows.

“Qatar Airways won this award after we surveyed all the world’s major international airlines,” said Mr Ahluwalia.
Mr Al Baker said the award reflects the high service standards that Qatar Airways is setting itself and the rest of the airline industry.
“Qatar Airways is obviously pleased to have been awarded this award and we thank PATWA for the important role it plays as an objective and independent quality monitor of the airline industry.
“Onboard cuisine and inflight services are the key test of any airline, and its good to know that Qatar Airways is being recognised internationally for its fine food and attentive inflight services.
“We have set out to provide our passengers with a great variety of fine restaurant-quality cuisine that is fresh and tasty. We have also set out to provide an inflight service that really does look after the individual’s passengers more personally.
“Quality in our services is one of our trademarks, and this award recognises the quality that we’re providing our passengers,” said Mr Al Baker.
In other news, Qatar Airways unveiled its new contemporary exhibition stand at the ITB Berlin travel exhibition that opened on Thursday, that’s already been visited by the leaders in the travel industry.
“We wanted the new stand to epitomise the vision and world-class service of Qatar Airways,” said Mr Al Baker.
