    Terms and conditions
    1. General

    The terms and conditions herein contained, shall govern your participation in Qatar Airways’ Beyond Business SME programme and are effective from the date of their first publication on https://www.qatarairways.com/en/corporate-travel/beyond-business.html (“Terms and Condition). 

    You should read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accepting.

    From time to time, Qatar Airways may modify these Terms and Conditions and the operation of the Beyond Business SME programme. Qatar Airways will endeavour to give you reasonable notice of any material changes to these Terms and Conditions using the email address provided in the Membership Account or published on the Beyond Business homepage https://www.qatarairways.com/en/corporate-travel/beyond-business.html.

    2. Definitions

    The following terms when used in these Terms and Conditions shall have the meaning set out below:

    Account Manager means the Qatar Airways employee assigned to manage the Beyond Business Membership Account.

    Award Ticket means any Qatar Airways flight ticket purchased using Qrewards, Avios or any other Qatar Airways loyalty currency.

    Beyond Business by Qatar Airways means the Qatar Airways corporate rewards program designed for corporate entities.

    Beyond Business SME means the segment in Beyond Business by Qatar Airways designed to reward Companies (as defined herein) entities.

    Beyond Business Portal Qatar Airways internet site that allows Members to access and manage their Membership Accounts located at https://www.qatarairways.com/beyondbusiness

    Contact us means the Qatar Airways email address dedicated to answering Members’ queries located at beyondbusiness@qatarairways.com.qa

    Company(ies) means an SME (as defined below) that is a private corporate entity duly licensed and registered with the competent authorities in the relevant country of incorporation excluding travel agents, ticket brokerage firms, and airline consolidators.

    Company Principal means the authorized representative of the Member who has the full control of the Membership Account.

    Closed User Group (CUG) means a group of people from a specific organization who receive discounts on the published fare for Qatar Airways’ flights because of individual corporate agreements with Qatar Airways. 

    Closed User Group (CUG) Fare means a discounted fare provided to a CUG Members.

    Financial Year means the period between 01 April of one year through until 31 March of the following year.

    Flown Ticket means a properly booked Qatar Airways tickets issued from https://www.qatarairways.com or by a Travel Agency Partner, that have already been utilized by the Member’s employees. 

    Member means any registered Company that has been approved by Qatar Airways to participate in the Beyond Business SME programme.

    Membership Account means the Beyond Business membership account assigned to the Member that allows Qrewards to be earned and redeemed on selected transactions at Qatar Airways Group companies and or selected Qatar Airways Partner companies.

    Membership Number means the unique alpha numeric code assigned to each Membership Account to enable performance tracking, benefit allocation, earning and redeeming of Qrewards.

    Program Administrator means a duly authorized employee of the Member nominated by the Company Principal to help with administering (i.e. redeem Qrewards for travelling employees) and monitoring of the Company's participation in Beyond Business by Qatar Airways on behalf of the Member.

    Qatar Airways means Qatar Airways Group Q.C.S.C.

    QR Beyond Business support means a Qatar Airways staff designated to administer Beyond Business in a particular market as the point of contact for internal and external queries. Contact details can be found in Beyond Business by Qatar Airways website, in this link: www.qatarairways.com/beyondbusiness/contacts.

    QMICE means Qatar Airways Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Events; a corporate product provided to accounts with group of people traveling to a destination from/to multiple points of origin/destination to attend a meeting, conference or/and events.

    Qmice Fares means special discounted fares provided to accounts with QMICE agreements.

    Qrewards means the loyalty currency for Beyond Business by Qatar Airways Members which is a redeemable credit earned by Members and credited to Membership Accounts in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

    Small and Medium Size Enterprise (SME) means companies that do not spend over a particular amount for ticket purchases on Qatar Airways’ network, or those companies that are unable to commit on projected ticket purchases in a contract with Qatar Airways.

    Transaction means any activity which results in a Member earning or spending Qrewards.

    Travel Agency Partner means any IATA registered travel management company/ies selected by the Member to process Qatar Airways tickets.

     

    3. Joining Qatar Airways’ Beyond Business SME

    3.1 Membership to the Qatar Airways’ Beyond Business SME programme is only available to SME Companies. 

    3.2 To apply for a Membership Account, the Company Principal must complete the online membership application form available on https://www.qatarairways.com/en/corporate-travel/join-now.html (the “Membership Application Form”). 

    3.3 Before the Membership Application Form can be submitted, the Company Principal is required to agree and accept these Terms and Conditions by selecting the “Agree” button.

    3.4 After the completed Membership Application Form is submitted, Qatar Airways will use an automatic verification system to confirm the Company Principal’s email. Once the email account has been verified and Membership Application accepted by Qatar Airways, a unique Membership Number will be generated and emailed to the Company Principal to confirm that Membership has been activated.

    3.5 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions, Members acknowledge that their Membership is not transferable and each Member may have only one (1) active Membership Account at any given time.

    3.6 Members acknowledge that Qatar Airways may send certain communications (e.g. offers, news and updates, engagement emails) from Beyond Business by Qatar Airways to the email addresses on the Membership Account after verification has been carried out by Qatar Airways. 

    3.7 Qatar Airways reserves the right to carry out an assessment of the Member's Account and records to check for compliance with these Terms and Conditions and any other applicable rules, or regulations without notice to the Member.

    3.8 Notwithstanding the definition for Companies under this Qatar Airways’ Beyond Business SME programme, on a case by case basis where so permitted by law, Qatar Airways in its sole discretion may extend Membership to selected government entities and companies with government affiliation.

     

    4. Managing Membership Account

    4.1 Members are required to keep the Membership Account up to date at all times and Members acknowledge that they are responsible for notifying Qatar Airways of any change in the Company Principal and or Membership Account details.

    4.2 Requests for change in the Company’s legal name or registration details on the Membership Account profile is permitted provided that there is no material change to the legal name or structure of the Company. Such request shall be made by the Company Principal using the email address on the Membership Account via email to our member service helplines or to any of our Beyond Business support team at Contact Us beyondbusiness@qatarairways.com.qa. Request for change shall be supported with the necessary documentation for validating the change. If accepted, the Company Principal will be notified via return email within seventy-two (72) hours.

    4.3 Except for the limited changes permitted by sub-clause 4.2 above, changes in the Company’s legal name or registration details in the Membership Account profile are prohibited in Beyond Business by Qatar Airways. In the event that a Company has a material change made to its legal name or corporate registration details, a new Membership Application shall be submitted. Unused Qrewards earned under the previous Membership Account will have a ninety (90) days window wherein which the Qreward can be transferred to the new Membership Account or redeemed by the Member. Failure to redeem the Qrewards balance within the ninety (90) days timeframe will result in a forfeiture of those Qrewards.

    4.4 For password lockout reset, please follow the instructions for “forget password” available in the log-in pop-up screen. Alternatively, password can be changed after logging in to the Membership Account in the Beyond Business portal. 

    5. Earning Qrewards

    5.1 Qrewards are earned on Flown Tickets and other Qatar Airways selected products and services in accordance with these Terms and Conditions starting from the date the Membership Number is assigned.

    5.2 To earn Qrewards on a Flown Ticket, the Membership Number at the time of ticket purchase must have been entered by the Member or Travel Agency Partner at the time of booking. Please refer to the Beyond Business by Qatar Airways FAQs at qatarairways.com/beyondbusiness on the procedure or contact Qatar Airways Beyond Business support.

    5.3 Qrewards for Flown Tickets are earned on the following categories:

    (a) Individual Tickets issued on Qatar Airways market fares;

    (b) Group tickets issued on Qatar Airways market fares;

    (c) Tickets issued on Qatar Airways public promotional fares;

    (d) Tickets issued on Qatar Airways marine fares;

    (e) Tickets issued on Qatar Airways cruise line corporate fares;

    (f) Tickets issued on Qatar Airways sports fares;

    (g) Tickets issued on Qatar Airways mining fares;

    (h) Tickets issued on Qatar Airways QMICE fares;

    (i) Tickets issued on Qatar Airways exclusive fares for travel agents and travel management companies;

    (j) Tickets issued on qatarairways.com dedicated booking site including CUG; and

    (k) Selected charter flights if so permitted in the charter contract.

    5.4 Qrewards are not earned for:

    (a) Award Tickets issued using Qrewards, Avios or any equivalent currency in another Qatar Airways loyalty program.

    (b) Lost, refunded, forfeited, unused, exchanged or expired tickets.

    (c) Tickets with discount over market/published rates including groups ad-hoc tickets, corporate discounted tickets, tickets issued on other specialty fares not mentioned in sub-clause 5.3 above, free of charge tickets, non-eligible charter flights, complimentary tickets, airline staff travel tickets, rebate tickets and any prize tickets;

    (d) Cancelled flights or flights which are transferred to another airline due to circumstances beyond Qatar Airways’ control however, so occurring.

    (e) Flights ticketed to children under twelve (12) years of age and/or infants under two (2) years of age.

    (f) Tickets purchased to carry additional baggage or to provide extra space for the Member; or

    (g) Flights for which Qrewards were credited to another Member. 

    5.5 Qrewards may be computed based on the fare inclusive of fuel surcharge and carrier-imposed fees on the ticket depending on the applicable category outlined in 5.3 above.

    5.6 Qrewards are valid for maximum of two (2) years and expire every 31 December.  Effective 01 April 2025, Qrewards accrued during the term of each Financial Year expires by the end of the next Financial Year and are processed at 23:59 Doha local time (GMT+3) every 31 March. Example: all Qrewards earned between 01 April and 31 March, 2019 will expire by 31 March 2020.

    5.7 Qrewards will be processed and credited to the Membership Account within seven (7) days of the Flown Ticket(s).

    5.8 In the event of a discrepancy between the Qrewards report generated by the Member and Qatar Airways, generated Qrewards report, Qatar Airways report will prevail.

    5.9 Members are advised that earning cap on Qrewards may apply in selected countries or markets where Beyond Business by Qatar Airways is offered and where so applicable, such cap shall be enforced by Qatar Airways. 

     

     

    6. Missing Qrewards

    6.1 Members should routinely check and ensure that Qrewards have been properly credited to the Membership Account. Statements for Transactions can be accessed online post logging into the respective Membership Account.

    6.2 If for whatever reason Qrewards have not been credited to the Membership Account, this can be rectified with the submission of a retro-claim post logging into your Membership Account.

    7. Redeeming Qrewards

    7.1 Members can redeem Qrewards to purchase Award Tickets or for cabin upgrades on Qatar Airways flights as well as those other redemption options listed here .

    7.2 The below applies to Award Tickets and cabin upgrades:

    (a) Award Tickets can be utilized on all Qatar Airways’ flights but will be subject to seat availability.

    (b) Award Tickets must be processed through the online Membership Account on the Beyond Business Portal.

    (c) Award Tickets will not be issued for open date tickets or flights where the passenger is waitlisted.

    (d) Award Tickets are subject to all taxes, duties, surcharges, passenger service charges, visa costs and any other customs or government taxes. However, some taxes may be incorporated into, and therefore form part of the Member’s Qrewards award if this is permitted by local laws or regulations.

    (e) Award Tickets can be changed or cancelled provided that the request is done within the time limits set by Qatar Airways for such flight. Note that change or cancellation fees may apply. The failure to cancel or change the Award Ticket within the applicable time limit, may result in a forfeiture of the Award Ticket.

    (f) Any failure of a Member to complete the booking process for the Award Ticket within the time allowed will grant Qatar Airways the right to cancel the incomplete bookings.

    (g) Award Tickets issued on a promotional basis may not be eligible for changes or cancellations.

    h) Qatar Airways may impose time limits for processing Award Tickets and cabin upgrades.

    (i) If an Award Ticket flight is rescheduled, cancelled or discontinued, Qatar Airways will use its best endeavours to transport the passenger on the next available Qatar Airways flight to the destination specified in the itinerary.

    (j) Award Tickets will automatically expire one (1) year from the date of issue.

    8. Promotions

    8.1 By accepting these Terms and Conditions the Member agrees that Qatar Airways can send electronic communications (SMS, email, push notifications or social media etc.) with marketing communications, offers, news, market research (individually a “Promotion” and collectively “Promotions”) using the Member information provided herein. Qatar Airways and / or its partners will provide the relevant terms and conditions, or details of where they can be found if applicable, when communicating Promotions. The terms and conditions for each Promotion will take precedence over any other statement in these Terms and Conditions. Members may withdraw their consent at any time in writing to Qatar Airways, by logging into the Membership Account or by any other means for withdrawing consent made available by Qatar Airways from time to time.

    8.2 Qatar Airways may at their own discretion, limit Promotions offered in connection with Qatar Airways’ Beyond Business SME programme to specific Members. For example, some Members may be eligible to participate in local Promotions in the country of registration by reference to the preferred postal code address associated with the Membership Account.

    8.3 Some Promotions may not be combined with other awards, promotions, coupons, discounts benefits, or special offers. In this case, Qatar Airways will only apply the Promotion that offers the highest benefit or recognition. Some Promotions may be combined, at Qatar Airways’ sole discretion. If there is a need to quote a promotional code at the time of purchasing a ticket or when redeeming an award, the promotional code will be effective regardless of any other offer that applies to the transaction.

    9. Termination of Membership

    9.1 A Member may terminate the Membership Account at any time by submitting an email to beyondbusiness@qatarairways.com.qa. Upon receipt of the request, Qatar Airways will close the Membership Account and all accrued Qrewards as at the date of the termination request, including unused Award Tickets will be forfeited as at the date of termination.

    9.2 Qatar Airways may in its sole and absolute discretion at any time and without providing a reason (i) terminate the Membership Account subject to sub-clause 9.7 below; or (ii) terminate Qatar Airways’ Beyond Business SME programme; without incurring any liabilities or cost therefrom.

    9.3 Qatar Airways may suspend or terminate a Membership Account at Qatar Airways’ sole discretion, at any time with immediate effect if:

    (a) the Member or any of its employee is involved, or Qatar Airways reasonably suspects an involvement in, fraudulent, irregular, dishonest or suspicious Transaction in connection with the Membership Account. Examples include (without limitation): (i) altering documents to procure Qrewards; (ii) knowingly supplying incorrect information to accrue Qrewards; (iii) attempting to procure Qrewards for flights which a Member travelling employees or guests have not flown and/or which are not eligible for Qrewards; (iv) using or attempting to use stolen or counterfeited tickets.

    (b) the Membership Account remains inactive for a consecutive four (4) year period. Qatar Airways may terminate your membership after forty-eight (48) consecutive months of inactivity on your Membership Account.

    (c) the Member is subjected to or threatened by bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings; the Member is subject to an adverse change of control or ceases to exist;

     (d) Qatar Airways considers that a behaviour or action constitutes misconduct. Examples include (without limitation):

    (i) failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions or the Conditions of Carriage;

    (ii) misuse of benefits which are available to Members; and

    (iii) Member’s employees or guests using threatening, abusive or insulting language or behaving in a threatening, abusive or insulting manner when dealing with any staff or representatives of Qatar Airways.

    9.4 If the Member goes into liquidation, receivership or change of control or administration, the Member will no longer be able to earn or redeem Qrewards from the date of such event and the Membership Account may be immediately terminated. 

    9.5 In the event of suspension or termination of a Membership Account, Qatar Airways endeavours to send a written notification accordingly. Qatar Airways may cancel all accrued and accruing Qrewards (including unused Award Tickets). The Member will be liable to Qatar Airways for the full price of any Qrewards or other benefit booked or used wholly or partly in connection with any fraudulent or dishonest activity in accordance with the published fare or price applicable to such Qrewards together with any reasonable costs and expenses, including legal fees, incurred by Qatar Airways.

    9.6 If Qatar Airways invokes the right set out in sub-clause 9.2 above, the Account Manager will endeavour to negotiate the new deal with the Member and Members will be allowed to redeem any available Qrewards balance up to their scheduled expiration date. Any remaining Qrewards balance after the scheduled expiration date will be forfeited.

    9.7 If Qatar Airways exercises the right under sub-clause 9.2 above and terminate the Membership Account, Qatar Airways will write to the Member stating that its membership is being terminated and Members will be given one hundred eighty (180) days to spend the accrued Qrewards. Any remaining balance after the one hundred eighty (180) days will be automatically forfeited.

    9.8 In the event of termination of Membership, all data included in your Membership Account will be removed from all active Qatar Airways databases and will be securely archived in accordance with Qatar Airways’ retention policies.

    10. Limit of liability

    10.1 Qatar Airways is not liable to the Member for any failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions because of circumstances beyond Qatar Airways’ reasonable control.

    10.2 Qatar Airways will not be liable for any kind of loss or damage, including (without limitation) any loss or reduction in a Member’s advantages and any detriment or disadvantage that may result from any alteration to or termination of Qatar Airways’ Beyond Business SME programme.

    10.3 Neither Qatar Airways nor the Member shall be liable to each other for any special, indirect, incidental, exemplary, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, including, without limitation, loss of profit or revenue, provided such loss, damage, cost or expense is not due to or caused by the gross negligence, willful breach or willful misconduct of these Terms and Conditions.

    10.4 Qatar Airways is not responsible for any tax liability that you or any third party incurs as a result of, or in connection with your Membership Account or any use of the benefits afforded because of the Membership Account.

     

    11. Personal Data and Information Security

    11.1 Qatar Airways is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection and privacy laws. By becoming a Member, you agree that Qatar Airways may process and disclose your Personal Data in the performance of these Terms and Conditions. By "Personal Data" we mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Personal Data will be processed solely for the purposes of enrolling you into Beyond Business, administering Beyond Business and providing your employees with the Qrewards. We collect and process Personal Data from you as a Member or your employees or guests you nominate for Beyond Business rewards in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

    11.2 We may collect and receive Personal Data of your employees or guests directly from your authorised representative(s). We may also collect Personal Data of your authorised representative, your employees or guests when you:

    (a) enrol your employees or guests for Beyond Business rewards;

    (b) register, create or modify a Membership Account;

    (c) communicate with us such as by email at beyondbusiness@qatararways.com.qa, contact our member services helplines and local sales offices or through our contact centre page post log-in to your Account portal;

    (d) enter promotions; or

    (e) if you choose to complete surveys and or voluntarily provide information by other means.

    11.3 Where your authorised representative discloses Personal Data on behalf of another person, (s)he will ensure that the individual whose Personal Data is supplied to Qatar Airways has authorised the disclosure, is informed of and consents to processing of their Personal Data in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

    11.4 Qatar Airways, or a recipient of Personal Data under sub-clause 11.2, may process Personal Data of your authorised representative (and that of your employees or guests you nominate for Beyond Business) for one or more of the following purposes:

    (a) to process and administer your application to join Beyond Business;

    (b) for the operation and management of Beyond Business including Qrewards and revenue performance tracking, delivery of associated Qrewards and services, on-going research and programme development, as well as delivering news and information to Members, and for other record-keeping purposes related to Beyond Business;

    (c) for identification and verification purposes, in connection with any of the Qrewards, other products or services that may be supplied to you;

    (d) to maintain and support your Account and facilitate your access to it;

    (e) to process or confirm your travel arrangements (including accounting, billing and audit, credit or other payment card verification, immigration and customs control, security and general administration where you travel with Qatar Airways);

    (f) to fulfil requests submitted by you, whether online or through our mobile services, or through other methods;

    (g) To pass on to and for the use by any member of the Qatar Airways Group in connection with the performance of the Terms and Conditions with you;

    (h) to respond to, handle and process any enquires or complaints submitted by your authorised representative;

    (i) where we have your consent, for marketing and informational purposes, such as conducting market research or sending your authorised representative updates on the latest offers and promotions in connection with Beyond Business and for assessing eligibility for any marketing and/or promotional activities and/or offers from Beyond Business;

    (j) To administer promotions conducted by us or on our behalf, including announcing the winner of any such competition;

    (k) To comply with legal, accounting, audit and regulatory requirements;

    (l) To improve our security, including in relation to the processing of payment by credit card to guard against the risk of fraud, including carrying out matching procedures against databases of known fraudulent transactions (maintained by us or third parties);

    (m) To monitor and improve the service that Beyond Business provides to your organisation; and

    (n) For business purposes, and to relevant third parties for the purpose of fraud protection and credit risk reduction and for administrative purposes.

    11.5 Before Qatar Airways discloses any of your Personal Data to you, you may be asked security questions which may require you to confirm your identity by providing information held by Qatar Airways about you.

    11.6 You are responsible for the security of your Account and Qatar Airways shall have no liability in the event that you disclose your login and/or password, whether intentionally or not, so as to allow a third person online access to your Personal Data of your authorised representative, employees or guests and to make any transactions. Qatar Airways reserves the right to block online access to your authorised representative, employees or guests Personal Data by or through any third-party website not authorised by Qatar Airways.

    11.7 You are responsible for keeping your contact details up to date in accordance with sub-clause 4.1. Qatar Airways is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to notify a change in address or other changes to your Personal Data.

    11.8 You irrevocably waive any claim against Qatar Airways with respect to such third-party websites and products and services which they may offer. Qatar Airways is not liable for any loss or damage caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with your access or use of any such third-party websites or other services, or your reliance on the privacy practices, data security processes or other policies of such third parties. 

    12. Other information

    12.1 Qatar Airways makes no guarantee that you will be able to redeem Qrewards before they expire.

    12.2 Except for the permitted use of Qrewards at Qatar Airways operators, the Member acknowledges that Qrewards have no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for cash or against any other benefit not mentioned in these Terms and Conditions. All rights of title to and property in Qatar Airways’ Beyond Business SME programme and/or Qrewards shall remain vested at all times in Qatar Airways and do not pass to you.

    12.3 You may not buy, sell, exchange or transfer Qrewards to any other Member.

    12.4 Qatar Airways’ Beyond Business SME programme has been developed as a part of Qatar Airways corporate branding and each Member acknowledges that Membership to Beyond Business by Qatar Airways programme is granted at the sole discretion of Qatar Airways and Qatar Airways reserves the right to restrict, limit access to or to revoke any Membership Account without providing a reason.

    12.5 Qatar Airways reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, and/or any Qrewards redemption levels at their sole discretion any time and without any prior notice.

    12.6 Qatar Airways may convert a Membership Account to a corporate travel incentive agreement and in such case, Qatar Airways will close the Membership Account after prior written notice to the Member.

    12.7 These Terms and Conditions shall not be superseded by any other terms and conditions under any Qatar Airways programme except if such other Qatar Airways programme expressly state that these Terms and Conditions shall be superseded by them.

    12.8 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted as superseding or supplementing the provisions of Qatar Airways’ Conditions of Carriage.

    12.9 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar.

    12.10 Qatar Airways and each Member submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Qatar to resolve disputes arising in connection with Qatar Airways’ Beyond Business SME programme.

    12.11 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is invalid, illegal or unenforceable then the provision shall be excluded from these Terms and Conditions to the extent of the invalidity, illegality or unenforceability and such exclusion shall not affect the validity, legality or enforceability of any other provision of these Terms and Conditions under the law.

    12.12 If Qatar Airways becomes entitled to exercise any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions or by law or regulation, no failure to exercise, no delay in exercising and no single or partial exercise of that right or remedy shall (i) adversely affect that right or remedy;(ii) waive Qatar Airways’ right to act upon that remedy; or (iii) prevent any further exercise of it or of any other right or remedy which may be available.
