Outside of Kuwait City itself there are several other interesting areas to explore, such as the Farwaniyah port area just outside the city. For the best beaches, head for Salmiya, about a 15-minute drive from Kuwait City. Here, you’ll find some great and uncrowded locations, as well as some high-end residential developments. Failaka Island is popular for its mild climate in springtime, and offers a range of outdoor activities such as fishing, sailing and swimming. Fly to Kuwait with Qatar Airways and you’ll discover a great destination in the Gulf area.
