Membership is not available for corporate entities, partnerships, associations or other groups.
2.2 By applying for membership, you are required to agree to these Terms and Conditions. Membership is granted at the sole discretion of Qatar Airways and Qatar Airways may refuse membership to any applicant.
2.3 Qatar Airways will assign a Membership Number to each Member. Your membership is not transferable and you may not hold more than one (1) Account. If Qatar Airways identifies that you hold more than one (1) Account, it will combine your Accounts and transfer your Avios, Qpoints or Qcredits into the combined Account (less any duplicated Avios, Qpoints, Qcredits or bonuses arising from the same activity). Qatar Airways will then close your other Account(s).
2.4 Qatar Airways requests your consent to receive transactional, informational and marketing communications (e.g. redemptions and a statement of account or offers, news and updates from Privilege Club, Qatar Airways or our Partners) by SMS, email or social media channels when you apply for membership of Privilege Club. Qatar Airways will send all Privilege Club correspondence to the most recent email address that you have notified to it in relation to your Account. You may withdraw your consent at any time in writing to Qatar Airways, by logging into your Membership Account or by any other means for withdrawing consent made available by Qatar Airways from time to time.
2.5 You need to keep your personal details up to date, including your name and contact details. You can update most of your details online from your dashboard under “My Profile” section on qatarairways.com/PrivilegeClub. To update your name or date or birth, you must submit a separate request to Qatar Airways which can be completed from your logged-in area. Failure to provide up-to-date information may limit your ability to access Benefits and may result in Qatar Airways terminating your Membership if you are unable to be contacted to validate your information. We will not be responsible for late, lost or misdirected mail if the information you provide is not accurate or up to date.
2.6 If Qatar Airways reasonably suspects that you are in breach of any of your obligations, we reserve the right to audit a Member's account and records without notice to the Member to check for compliance with these Terms and Conditions, and compliance with any Partner’s terms and conditions, alongwith any other applicable rules, regulations or terms and conditions. Qatar Airways reserves its right to take whatever action it may reasonably decide arising out of that audit, including those rights under section 6.3.
2.7 You may appoint up to two (2) Travel Coordinators in order to manage your Account once you achieve Silver Membership Tier. Once you have achieved Silver Membership Tier, you may appoint Travel Coordinators at any time. You may choose to provide either Full Access or Enquiry Access to such Travel Coordinator.
- Full Access. This will provide the Travel Coordinator with complete access to the Account. This will mean that the Travel Coordinator will have access to all of the information on the Member and the Account. The Travel Coordinator will be able to perform any activity on behalf of the Main Member.
- Enquiry Access. This will provide the Travel Coordinator with partial information on the account such as information on the Account, the status, the balance and information about flights (such as for example whether the Avios have been credited to the Account after a flight).
- Any such appointment of a Travel Coordinator shall be the sole responsibility of the Member and Qatar Airways shall bear no responsibility or liability for the acts or omissions of such Travel Coordinator.
3.1 Platinum Members are eligible and automatically entitled to receive a physical membership card through the post once they reach the relevant Membership Tier. Burgundy, Silver and Gold Members will receive a digital membership card only, which is downloadable for print out or digital wallet from their personal dashboard.
3.2 The Membership Card will show your name and Membership Number. Provided that you have opted-in to receive a physical membership card where required, you will receive a new Membership Card each time you move to Platinum Membership Tier or when your Platinum Membership is renewed.
3.3 Only the Member named on the Membership Card may use it or quote the Membership Number. Membership Cards are not transferable.
3.4 You may be required to produce your Membership Card and/or quote your Membership Number to Qatar Airways or its Partners when booking, checking in, travelling or otherwise using any Benefits. Qatar Airways or its Partners may also ask you to provide valid photo identification before using any Benefits. Qatar Airways encourages you to add your Membership Number to all your bookings at the time of reservation or prior to arriving at the airport.
3.5 It is your responsibility to keep secure any information that might identify you and allow access to your Membership. You must contact Qatar Airways as soon as you realise that your Membership Card or Membership Number or those of related members has been lost, stolen or misused or you accidentally reveal your Membership Number or password details. Until you contact Qatar Airways, you may be liable for all unauthorised use of your Membership Card, Membership Number, Avios, Qcredits or Benefits.
3.6 Membership Cards remain the property of Qatar Airways and must be surrendered to a Qatar Airways representative upon request.
4.1 Privilege Club has four (4) Membership Tiers: Burgundy, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Your Membership Tier status determines the Benefits you will receive from Qatar Airways and its Partners. New Members join Privilege Club at the Burgundy Membership Tier.
4.2 You will progress to a higher Membership Tier if you earn enough Qpoints in a consecutive twelve (12) month period. Once you move to a higher Membership Tier, your new Membership Tier will be valid for twelve (12) months. Qatar Airways may run specific, targeted campaigns to fast track status or tier match other airlines and will inform you, provided you have opted in to receive marketing communication.
4.3 Qatar Airways will renew your Membership Tier on the Tier Renewal Date if you meet either of the renewal requirements for your Membership Tier. There are two different renewal requirements for each Membership Tier. The first renewal requirement is based on the number of Qpoints you have earned during the previous twelve (12) months. If you have not earned enough Qpoints during the previous twelve (12) months to qualify for renewal, there is a second alternative renewal requirement based on the number of Qpoints you have earned during the previous twenty-four (24) months.
4.4 In addition to satisfy the Qpoints renewal requirement at section 4.3 above, Qatar Airways requires you to earn at least twenty percent (20%) of Qpoints or fly four (4) sectors in the previous twelve (12) months or fly eight (8) sectors in the previous twenty-four (24) months on Qatar Airways operated and marketed flights. For the purpose of this section, a “sector” is a flight from an origin to a destination. For example, if a Member flies from London to their final destination of Bangkok with a transit/stop in Doha, the first sector is London to Doha and the second sector is Doha to Bangkok. For this journey, a Member will therefore have flown two (2) sectors.
4.5 Once your Membership Tier is renewed, it will be valid for twelve (12) months. Should the Member fail to retain their existing Membership Tier, they will be downgraded to:
(i) the next lower tier, provided that there has been activity (accrual or redemption) on the Member’s Account over the previous 24 months. This means that an existing Platinum Tier Member will become Gold, and an existing Gold Tier Member becomes Silver; and
(ii) the Burgundy Membership Tier, if there has been no activity (accrual or redemption) on the Member’s Account over the previous 24 months
4.6 Membership Tier renewal is processed at 23:59 Doha local time (Arabian Standard Time) on the Tier Renewal Date.
4.7 For further details on moving between Membership Tiers and Membership Tier renewal, please see qatarairways.com/PrivilegeClub.

All accrued Avios, Qcredits, Qpoints and Membership Tier Benefits will be forfeited. 6.2 In the event of the termination of Membership, please destroy any physical Membership Card related to your Account.
6.3 Qatar Airways may suspend or terminate your membership at any time with immediate effect if:

This transfer will not affect the Avios Expiry Date for the transferred Avios and the deceased Main Member’s Account will be closed thereafter.
6.6 Upon the death of a Family Member, Avios earned by the deceased Family Member will remain in the Main Member’s Account.
6.7 In the event of termination of Membership, all data included in your Account will be removed from all active databases and will be securely archived for up to a period of seven (7) years for legal purposes and in accordance with our retention policies. When combining cabin classes on the same ticket, each cabin will be priced separately and one final price will be quoted to you. Avios + Cash Awards are not available on Airline Partners. Airline Partner Awards are subject to special terms and conditions as set out at Qatarairways.com/PrivilegeClub and/or as specified by each Airline Partner.
14.5 For all Award tickets and cabin upgrades, you must pay all taxes, duties, surcharges, passenger service charges, visa costs and any other customs or government-imposed taxes. However, some taxes may be incorporated into, and therefore form part of, your Avios award flight or upgrade where this is required by local laws or regulations. Award tickets also include a Booking Fee (Carrier Imposed Charges) that are applicable to be paid at the time of issuance. The Booking Fee depends on your flight origin, destination and cabin of travel.
14.6 Qatar Airways imposes time limits for processing Award tickets and cabin upgrades. These time limits vary according to the date of travel, date of booking and your Membership Tier. You must complete your Award booking or cabin upgrades within the required time limits. Qatar Airways may cancel Award bookings or cabin upgrades which are not completed within the required time limits.
14.7 Award tickets and cabin upgrades are subject to availability. Qatar Airways and Airline Partners may limit the number of seats available for Award travel on particular flights. Award seats may not be available on all flights or in all classes.
14.8 If you have an Award ticket:
(a) for a flight operated by Qatar Airways and your flight is rescheduled, cancelled or discontinued, Qatar Airways will use reasonable efforts to transport you on the next flight operated by Qatar Airways to the destination specified in your itinerary; or
(b) for a flight operated by an Airline Partner and your flight is rescheduled, cancelled or discontinued, Qatar Airways will use reasonable efforts to:
(i) transport you on the next flight operated by Qatar Airways to the destination specified in your itinerary; or
(ii) arrange for you to travel on the next flight operated by an Airline Partner to the destination specified in your itinerary.
However, Qatar Airways cannot guarantee seat availability on future flights. Qatar Airways issues all Award tickets redeemed with Avios regardless of whether it is the Operating Carrier and is not obliged to endorse an Award ticket for use on any other airline. Qatar Airways will not refund Avios to your Account if an Award ticket is partially used.
14.9 You may be able to change or cancel Award bookings provided that you request the change or cancellation within the time limits set by Qatar Airways. Award fees apply when you need to change or cancel Awards. If you do not cancel or change the Award booking within the applicable time limit, Qatar Airways will deem that you have used the Award and you will not receive a Avios refund. Some Awards issued on a promotional basis may not be eligible for changes or cancellations.
14.10 Award fees apply per passenger and will be quoted in the applicable currency. This value will be rounded up based on the currency used for payment. You may use Qcredits to pay Award fees. Details of time limits and Award fees are available on qatarairways.com/PrivilegeClub.
15.1 You can redeem Qcredits for up to one (1) excess baggage Award per passenger per flight. Excess baggage awards are available on ticketed bookings on flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways.
15.2 Once the redemption is confirmed, you will receive an Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD). You must present the EMD at check-in. If your itinerary changes, you must inform Qatar Airways so that it can update the excess baggage Award with the new flight details. Failure to inform Qatar Airways may mean that the excess baggage Award is unavailable at check-in. Once redeemed, excess baggage Awards are non-refundable even if not utilised.
