Transportation and parking
Public transport to and from the airport is excellent and very efficient. The train station connects Tbilisi directly to the airport with a journey time of around 15 minutes. Buses run 24/7 and Route 37 provides a direct link from the city centre to the airport.
Shuttle services are also provided by many of the larger hotels, and taxis offer a fast and efficient way of getting to the airport, especially if you have a large amount of luggage. If you are driving, there are both indoor and outdoor car parks, offering short and long-term parking for around 500 vehicles.
At the airport
Passengers flying from Tbilisi with Qatar Airways depart from the main terminal’s Departure hall. Check-in desks and security checks are efficient and quick, and you should allow approximately an two hours before your flight is due to board to go through the process.
During peak times, the check-in desks can get busy, so if you are travelling at weekends and around national holidays then allow a little extra time to complete check-in well in advance of your boarding time.
Facilities and amenities
The airport features several commercial outlets for passengers, including a number of Duty Free outlets selling luxury goods.
Food and beverages are served throughout the airport, with cafés, restaurants and fast food venues providing a diverse selection of both traditional Georgian and international cuisine.
