Do I need to complete any forms?
Your safety is our top priority. It's important that you consult your doctor before flying and follow all guidelines and recommendations to ensure that you and your baby stay safe during the journey. Depending on the stage and details of your pregnancy, you may be required to present certain medical forms before flying. The guidelines below will help you find which medical forms you may need, if any.

Medical certificates must be completed by your doctor no more than 10 days before your departure date and brought with you to the airport on the day of your journey. Your doctor may provide a different form, as long as it includes all the required information listed below.
Medical certificates must be written in English and include the following information:
- Patient's name and date of birth
- Last Menstrual Period (LMP) and Estimated Date of Delivery (EDD)
- Gestational age on the day of examination
- Proposed dates of air travel
- Confirmation of an uncomplicated single pregnancy or an uncomplicated multiple pregnancy
- Confirmation that patient is fit to travel* for the entire journey, including return (where applicable)
- Date, stamp and contact details of the medical attendant
- Certificate must be dated within 10 days of the passenger's initial departing flight and remains valid for the entire journey
* Qatar Airways must be informed of any change in the mother's status or requirement at least 48 hours before departure.
- Form must be filled in English.
- Form must be submitted to Qatar Airways no less than 48 hours and no more than 7 days before flight departure.
- If no new MEDIF is required for the return flight, this will be indicated within 'Part 2' of the form as 'Approved (full journey)'.
