There are a number of transport options to get you to and from the airport and the centre of Ankara, including Havas Shuttle coaches, buses, taxis and rental cars. There are several different airports serving Ankara, and airport transfers are well organised and efficient. Buses run to both terminals, and arrive outside the International Terminal doors.
Taxis run from all parts of the city and can be arranged in advance by your hotel reception or concierge service. There is extensive parking available, including a multi-storey indoor car park with space for just over 4,000 vehicles, and an open-air car park that offers both short and long-term parking.
Arriving at the airport
Passengers flying from Ankara with Qatar Airways depart from the International Terminal Departures area. As the terminal is relatively new, the check-in procedure is efficient and smooth, with minimal delays. However, be aware that security at Ankara airport is particularly tight, so allow approximately two hours before your flight is due to board to check-in and clear security checks.
