Tabuk Castle: Get a glimpse into the origins and rich history of Tabuk with a visit to the spectacular Tabuk Castle. You’ll find this well-preserved imposing structure in the centre of the city, making it the ideal destination for an afternoon stroll. Within its walls, which date back to 1559, you’ll also find two mosques and a museum that tells more about the region’s history and culture.

Al-Disah Valley: This dramatic landscape is Saudi Arabia’s version of the Grand Canyon, with its striking peaks and red sandstone sculptures. The 25km-long river valley hides ancient tombs, old writings and rock drawings, as well as meandering paths and tracks that take you deep into the valley. Souq Twaheen: Nestled in the old quarter of Tabuk, this colourful market is full of life. Glittering gold jewellery and traditional clothing is on offer, and street food fills the walkways with rich aromas.

The extraordinary Hisma: Marvel at the natural beauty of the Hisma Desert, which is considered to be an open-air museum of unique geological wonders. Naturally-crafted by wind erosion over 400 million years, the sandstones create a picturesque scene and offer some fascinating hiking paths. Tourists can explore the land on camel safaris or drive through impressive dunes on 4x4s.

White sand beaches of Haql: The nearby coastal city of Haql in the Tabuk region is where you’ll find warm, turquoise waters and white sandy beaches for an unspoiled beach getaway. Camp under the stars while you relax to the sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore.

Family-friendly attractions: Tabuk has plenty of venues for families, where little ones can be entertained. Dive into the Tabuk culture with an exciting experience learning to ride thoroughbred Arab horses at the Tabuk Equestrian Centre. Or for a cooler, water-filled adventure, visit the Tabuk Aquapark or the Waterfall Park.

The Tabuk region is renowned for its delicious food. And thanks to the city’s close proximity to the Red Sea, seafood is a strong influence in local dishes. Often simply cooked and served with fragrant rice and enlivened with spices, everything from fish stew to multi-dish banquets is available.

Throughout the city, you’ll find a variety of restaurants serving everything from traditional Arabic dishes to Western favourites like hamburgers. The city also has many fine dining establishments where fusion food combines the rich flavours of the region with the subtleties of European cuisine.

Meals are an important social occasion in Saudi culture, so expect to take your time over eating. Meals are usually accompanied the traditional hot mint tea. 

Tabuk Park Mall is a popular destination for shoppers looking for both international brands and local artisan pieces. It's a family-friendly mall with an amusement park for young travellers, an extensive food court, and plenty of parking. Another large mall that's well worth a visit is the Al Makan Mall on King Khalid Road. This huge multi-storey mall is filled with high-end luxury brands and an extensive food court where you can stop for a bite.

If you want some groceries and authentic local produce, the Star Market, also known as Al-Najma Market, is one of the largest in the city.

Explore Souq Tabuk for traditional crafts and authentic Arabian goods. This bustling souq is split into sections, just like the old markets. You'll find sections specialising in sparkling gold jewellery crafted using traditional Arabic designs and an area specifically devoted to ‘abayas’ – a traditional dress for Saudi women.
