Begin your Abu Dhabi holiday at the country’s largest mosque, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Take a tour to learn what went into building this architectural marvel.
For more opulence, make your way to the Emirates Palace. This hotel is covered in over 6,000 square metres of gold leaf, making it a popular choice for the world’s most affluent. Taste the grandeur with a 24-carat gold leaf cappuccino at the lobby café. Nearby, the Presidential Palace awaits where Emirati leadership often meet with delegates. The buildings and grounds are spectacular to explore.
To get your bearings, go up to the Etihad Towers Skydeck for a 360-degree view of the city – take the opportunity to enjoy high tea there, too. Opposite the towers lies the Abu Dhabi Corniche, an 8-kilometre recreational path perfect for a walk, scooter or bike ride.
