Jabeur joins the airline’s diverse portfolio of premium sports partners
DOHA, Qatar – Qatar Airways is delighted to announce a new sponsorship agreement with top Tunisian WTA tennis player Ons Jabeur. The partnership will see the Qatar Airways logo appear on Jabeur’s clothing at major tennis tournaments during 2021.

Born in Ksar Hellal in Tunisia, Ons Jabeur is the all-time best Arab tennis player. She started playing tennis at the age of 3 and soon rose to become one of the most promising players of her generation, winning the Junior French Open in 2011. She went on to become a national hero and broke numerous records held by Arab players in the past. Earlier this year, Jabeur reached the quarter-final stage at the Australian Open, along with the fourth round at the French Open. She is the first Arab player to break into the world’s top 40, currently ranked 31.
Qatar Airways has strong ties with Ons’s nation Tunisia, having operated flights to the capital Tunis since 2005. While COVID-19 forced the airline to temporarily suspend services, Tunis was one of the first African destinations where flights resumed, with the national carrier of the State of Qatar currently operating three weekly flights.
Qatar Airways’ global sport sponsorship portfolio includes the Qatar Total Open Tennis Tournament and Qatar ExxonMobil Tennis Open held every year in Doha.
