Super Wi-Fi conditions of purchase:

  • The amount paid for Super Wi-Fi access is non-refundable.
  • Super Wi-Fi service is currently available on select Boeing 777 and A350 aircraft.
  • The Super Wi-Fi access code can only be used on one device at a time. If you want to use it on a second device, you will have to log out from the first one and log into the new device using the same code.
  • To access the Super Wi-Fi service on board, open the in-flight Wi-Fi portal on your browser and enter your Super Wi-Fi access code. 
  • The Super Wi-Fi access code is valid for one year from the date of purchase and can only be used once.
  •  Super Wi-Fi service is progressively being rolled out on all Qatar Airways aircraft.  Please check whether the Super Wi-Fi service is available on your upcoming flight.  
  • Service interruption may occur while flying due to regulatory restrictions over some countries.
  • In case of operational changes to scheduled aircraft, you can still use your voucher on other Qatar Airways flights that are enabled with Super Wi-Fi within the access code validity period.

The world is at your fingertips with Qatar Airways' state-of-the-art communication. Stay connected with the OnAir mobile service. Onboard Wi-Fi makes it easy to stay on top of your work or entertained with uninterrupted access to friends, family, colleagues and clients.

Once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet, you can use your portable electronic devices (PEDs) and send SMS and MMS or access your email and browse the Internet to stay in touch with everyone on the ground.

Send an SMS

Switch on your mobile phone and wait for the 'OnAir' or 'Aeromobile' network signal to appear. If your device doesn’t automatically select the network, go to your device’s network settings. Make sure your phone is not set to flight mode.

To send an SMS enter '+' then the country code and then the phone number (remember to drop the '0' in front of the phone number).

On board Wi-Fi

Enable Wi-Fi on your laptop, tablet or smartphone, and select 'Oryx One.'

You will need to launch your web browser, which will display the log-in web portal. From the portal, simply select your preferred price plan.

About on board connectivity

  1. Switch to 'silent' mode Keep your fellow passengers in mind. Please switch to 'silent' or 'vibrate' mode.
  2. International roaming charges You will be billed by your mobile services provider
  3. 100% certified and safe The system has been thoroughly tested, so there's no risk to the aircraft.
  4. Switch off for take-off and landing All devices should be switched off or switched to 'airplane' mode'

Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs)

You can use your e-readers, tablets and smartphones from gate to gate i.e. including taxiing, take-off and landing without a risk to safety.
