SEPA Direct Debit

By selecting 'Lastschriftverfahren' as the method of payment, the customer agrees to and authorises the following:

Commerzbank AG on behalf of Qatar Airways to debit the amount shown from the customer's specified IBAN (International Banking Account Number) account. At the same time, the customer instructs the payment provider holding their account to honour the direct debit drawn on the account by Commerzbank AG on behalf of Qatar Airways.

Incurred chargeback fees through revocation of the direct debit or non-payment of a debit note due to lack of funds on used account have to be borne by the customer.

The bank, which is identified by the IBAN provided, to disclose on request the customer's name and address to Commerzbank AG on behalf of Qatar Airways, or to a company instructed by them, in the event of non-payment of the direct debit or if there is a dispute over the direct debit, so that a claim can be made against the customer.

As part of its SEPA Direct Debit procedure, Qatar Airways has instructed B+S Card Service GmbH in Frankfurt to check the customer's IBAN against IBAN blacklists. This serves as protection for both parties: against misuse of the customer's bank details by an unauthorised third party and against bad debt loss for Qatar Airways.
