Book flights from Kuala Lumpur to Casablanca with Qatar Airways

Arriving in Casablanca

Immortalised in film and legend, Casablanca has a charisma and appeal that attracts visitors from all over the world. Its bazaars and marketplaces are offset by a modern and forward-looking city that is developing into an African powerhouse for industry. But away from the new buildings and commercial centre the old ‘Casa’ is still there to be discovered.

Book a flight to Casablanca with Qatar Airways and you can explore this romantic city. Lose yourself among the spice stalls of the old Medina, or find a little peace and tranquillity from the hustle and bustle at the Hassan II Mosque.

Tourist attractions

Some parts of Casablanca have been ‘westernised’, but it is still possible to find attractions that give you a real flavour of the traditional culture of Morocco. The Shrine of Sidi Abderrahman is a unique and isolated site offshore (the shrine itself is only accessible during low tide).

The Mahkama du Pacha is a Moorish-Hispanic building that has been decorated in typical Moroccan style and is an ornate fusion of delicately carved wooden ceilings and stunningly tiled floors. It showcases the very best in Moroccan design.

For a respite from the heat and dust of the city, head to the beautifully maintained Parc de la Ligue Arabe. On the outskirts of the park is Casablanca Cathedral, which is no longer used for worship but is a fine example of Mauresque architecture.

Finally, Casablanca takes its sport seriously, and there are numerous stadiums dotted throughout the city. A football match is a great way to experience authentic Casablancan life.

Travel Considerations

Flights to Casablanca with Qatar Airways land at Mohammed V International Airport.
