Flying from Beirut

One of the region’s most important air transport hubs for both passengers and cargo, Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport is a modern, efficient and well run airport that puts the well-being and comfort of passengers first.

Inside the ultra-modern terminal you’ll find plenty of facilities and comfortable seating areas, and staff are friendly and more than happy to help. The terminal is divided into two areas, the East and West wings, which are joined together by the main terminal building itself.

Transportation and parking

Parking is available for both long and short-term stays, and there are a total of 2,350 parking spaces. The area is fully managed and maintained 24 hours a day.

Transport to the airport is by taxi, which deliver passengers to the main terminal entrance area. The airport taxis have an airport symbol on the side that indicates that they are regulated, official taxis. Buses run to within a kilometre of the main terminal to the airport roundabout, but do not run to the terminal itself.

If you are flying from Beirut with Qatar Airways then you will need to go to the second Departure level and then check which wing your flight will be departing from.

The East Wing has gates 1–12 and the West Wing, houses gates 13–23. Gates 2 and 3 are dual jet-way gates for large aircraft. Qatar Airways passengers with first class or business class tickets can make use of the Cedar Lounge, which offers 300 seats and a selection of facilities including a business centre and a self-service cafeteria.

Facilities and amenities

The majority of amenities and facilities at Beirut are located in the main terminal area. This includes duty free shops, cafés, several excellent restaurants, banks, a post office, prayer rooms, and a tourist information centre.

The duty free areas are open to passengers who have checked in, are ticket holders and have cleared immigration. Private airline lounges and prayer rooms are located on the third level.
