The Royal Botanic Gardens have an international reputation, and from the outdoor platform of Sydney Tower you can obtain panoramic views across the city. Flying from Edinburgh
Formerly known as Kastrup Airport, Copenhagen Airport is the largest in Scandinavia and is close to Copenhagen city centre. Because of its importance as the main air hub in Scandinavia, facilities and amenities at the airport are excellent, and passengers flying from Copenhagen with Qatar Airways will discover an efficient, friendly and premium quality service that is focused primarily on the passenger experience.
Transportation and parking
There are several bus services to and from the centre of the city to the airport. There are also free terminal shuttles, which run frequently between the terminals. The Metro station is located at the end of Terminal 3 and runs 4-6 minute intervals during the day and evening hours and every 15-20 minutes during the night. The travel time from Nørreport Station in central Copenhagen to the airport is 15 minutes. Taxis in Copenhagen are plentiful and relatively cheap – you can ask your hotel concierge to arrange either taxis or a limousine service to the airport, which is a better option if you have a lot of luggage. There are more than 10,000 car parking spaces for short, medium and long-term stays.

Arriving in Sydney
Despite what most people think, Sydney is not actually Australia’s capital, but is probably its most iconic and instantly recognisable one, thanks to exceptional monuments such as the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.
Modern, thriving and continually expanding, Sydney is the powerhouse of Australia and one of the most vibrant cities on the Pacific Rim.
Book a flight to Sydney with Qatar Airways and you’ll discover that it’s also a centre for the arts, music and theatre, with an incredibly relaxed and laid-back atmosphere for such a large metropolis.
Warm and friendly people welcome visitors with open arms, and its business sector is innovative and progressive, making it an excellent destination for business travellers too.
Tourist attractions
Top of the list has to be the Sydney Opera House. It sits on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and adjacent to the Sydney central business district and the Royal Botanic Gardens.
It is in fact a collection of venues that host 1,500 performances every year, attracting over a million visitors from around the world. From opera to modern dance, theatre to mime, this is the cultural heart of the city.
Many of the city’s landmarks are clustered around the harbour, and an excellent and very relaxing way to see them is to take a ferry east from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo or Manly, or west under the Harbour Bridge towards Parramatta.
This will also give you a great view of the harbour itself.
The city is famous for its museums, and visitors can choose from the Australian Museum, which has extensive exhibits covering Australia’s unique flora and fauna, through to the interactive Powerhouse Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
To find out more about Australia’s First Nation people, head to the Royal National Park where you’ll find Aboriginal rock carvings, or take a guided interpretative walk at Berry Island.
