Buses are usually very crowded and somewhat sporadic, and be aware that you may be charged extra for luggage, so it is probably easier and more cost-effective to take one of the many taxis that commute between the city and the airport.
These can be booked by your hotel concierge, who will be able to inform your driver of your destination (most drivers only speak Vietnamese). Beware of unofficial taxis and ‘touts’. Parking at the airport is limited but both long and short-term parking areas are conveniently positioned opposite the main terminal.
Arriving in Ho Chi Minh City

There are public telephones dotted around the terminal, but they are very busy and it can be difficult to place a call here. Most of the popular tourist attractions are clustered around the Old Town and the riverfront and lakeshore. The lake itself is one of the biggest attractions in the city, and the Lakeside Promenade is incredibly popular, especially in the summer.
Starting from Bellevue, the boardwalk goes for about 3km along the lake towards Tiefenbrunnen, making it a relaxing and tranquil walk for all ages.
