Qatar Airways Partners with ‘Art for Tomorrow’ Conference Ahead of Resumption of Direct Flights to Venice

The airline will resume daily direct flights to the floating city on June 12

 

Qatar Airways currently flies to over 170 global destinations, and with the addition of Venice will operate to three cities in Italy, including Milan and Rome

 

Doha, Qatar – Qatar Airways joins Qatar Museums as a Headline Sponsor of the ‘Art for Tomorrow’ conference taking place in Venice, Italy from 5 to 7 June, 2024 at the Palazzo Diedo, organised by The Democracy & Culture Foundation. The announcement comes as the airline resumes flights to ‘the floating city’ on 12 June, 2024.

 

From Hamad International Airport in Doha – awarded the Best Airport in the world, by Skytrax – travellers can soon fly direct to Venice to sample the city’s world-famous canals, squares, and palazzos.

 

The 2024 ‘Art for Tomorrow’ conference is themed ‘Imperfect Beauty,’ and will see multiple sessions moderated by New York Times journalists discussing the topic of how the arts can unite and heal, with prominent speakers including creator Philippe Starck, artists Giulia Andreani, Sean Scully, John Akomfrah and many more.

 

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said: “I am honoured to join Qatar Museums as a proud Headline Sponsor of Art for Tomorrow which celebrates our cultural heritage while protecting it for our future generations.”
