Flights to Lebanon with Qatar Airways

Lebanon is a tiny country that, in terms of culture, spans the Arab world and the West and makes a fascinating holiday destination. Travel to Lebanon with Qatar Airways and discover impressive scenery, friendly culture, and amazing cuisine in the heart of the Middle East.

Known as the Paris of the East at one time, the capital Beirut is still a charming and sophisticated location, famous for its wonderful backdrop of mountains and the antique ruins that lie all around the surrounding landscape. The people are renowned for their unfailing hospitality and indomitable spirit.

The city is full of buzzing entertainment venues and restaurants, and has some of the best museums and galleries in the region. Lebanon is easy to get around because of its size, and from traditional souks to archaeological sites, island reserves and natural cave systems, you will not run short on activities to do here.

The old souks lying between the Castle of St. Louis and the Sea Castle consist of a labyrinth of alleyways, and present a great insight into what old Beirut used to be like. A walk along the Corniche will undoubtedly prove relaxing with fresh seafront breezes. Alternatively, take a boat ride out to the Palm Islands Reserve. These three islands are an UNESCO World Heritage Site and a haven for endangered species such as monk seals and loggerhead turtles.

Byblos is probably Lebanon’s most famous archaeological site. The 12th century castle inside the entrance was built by the Crusaders, and the site was already ancient when they arrived. It’s a good spot for panoramic views, and over to the west you’ll find a Roman amphitheatre. Baalbek is another ancient site of great importance in Lebanon and was one of the main cosmopolitan centres in this region when the Romans were in charge.

Visit Lebanon with Qatar Airways and enjoy an unprecedented Middle Eastern travel adventure that combines everything from history and culture to food and fashion.
