Flights to Nepal with Qatar Airways

Nepal is a country of stunning natural beauty that includes Mount Everest as one of its natural assets, along with eight more of the world’s highest peaks. Travel to Nepal with Qatar Airways and get to know unique culture, diverse geography and superb landscapes.

This is a wild and untamed country with a great variety of wildlife, making it a popular destination for explorers. Over a quarter of Nepal is blanketed in forests, many of which are protected natural habitats. In addition to being a safe haven for rare and endangered species of bird and butterfly, Nepal is home to over 300 different species of orchids, and visitors can often catch glimpses of the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger and one-horned rhino wandering across the landscape.

Nepal has attracted serious mountaineers for many years. The Nepal Himalaya soars to over 800km and consists of over 1300 separate peaks that present an extreme range of challenges to devotees of the sport. The highest race in the world is also held here: the Tenzing-Hillary Everest Marathon, which sets out from Nepal.

On the cultural front, Nepal has four UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and Kathmandu alone has seven protected monuments. These include Buddhist stupas, Hindu temples and the Durbar square. Kathmandu is one of the most colourful cities on earth, full of ancient architecture and bizarre and colourful temples.

There are three major cities in Nepal, each with its own attractions and unique identity. Kathmandu is famous for its exotic temples and constantly chiming bells; Bhaktapur is home to a variety of cultural gems; and for Nepalese fine arts visitors should head for Patan.
