Transportation and parking
Transport to and from the airport into the centre of St. Petersburg is well served by a network of public transport and taxis. City buses number 39, 39A and minibus K39 run from the airport to the Moskovskaya metro station, where passengers can connect to Metro line 2 running to and from the city centre.
The K39 minibus also stops at the Aeroport commuter rail station, where passengers can take a train to Saint Petersburg's Baltiysky Station. Taxis are plentiful and prices are fixed depending on the zone you are travelling from. The journey from the city centre to the airport can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on the time of day you travel.
Peak time traffic can be terrible, so allow yourself extra time if you are travelling during the morning and evening rush hours.
Arriving in St. Petersburg
Passengers flying from St. Petersburg with Qatar Airways depart from the main Departures area in the new Terminal 1. The terminal has several business lounges available for first class and business class passengers, as well as general lounges available for all travellers.
There are 88 check-in counters, 110 passport booths, 7 baggage carousels and 17 gates, so check the departure boards on arrival for more information. Security is very tight, so allow at least two hours to clear check-in procedures and customs checks.
