Parking and transportation

The RENFE R2 suburban train connects the city centre to Barcelona Airport, with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes. The airport railway station is located at Terminal 1, making it convenient for Qatar Airways passengers.

The Aerobus travels from the centre of Barcelona to the airport direct, while local AMB buses also serve both terminals. Taxis are plentiful. There are plenty of car parks available for passengers, with spaces for up to 24,000 cars for T1 passengers alone, including a VIP parking area and both short and long-term options close to the terminals.

Arriving at Barcelona Airport

Passengers flying from Barcelona with Qatar Airways depart from Terminal 1. This is the fifth largest terminal in the world, with 258 check-in counters, 60 jetways and plenty of space in the lounges and waiting areas.

Because of the sheer size of the terminal it is advisable to arrive at least two hours before your flight is due to depart, and to check the information boards on arrival.

Facilities and amenities

Amenities at the airport are excellent, with a good selection of retail outlets and restaurants, as well as good business facilities. Paid-for Wi-Fi hotspots are dotted around the public areas, with the first 15 minutes of use free.

Disabled passengers are well catered for, with full access to all areas of the terminal, including disabled parking. For food lovers, there is a choice of excellent restaurants serving international cuisine, or indulge in a little local flavour at one of the many tapas vendors.

Transportation and Parking

Short-term parking is available at two sides on either side of the terminal, with the Eastern car park more convenient for Qatar Airways passengers.

The bus pavilion is located to the right just outside the entrance to the passenger terminal, and provides regular services into the business and residential centres of Doha.

Chauffeur- driven limousines are available on request, and car rental facilities are also on offer.

Arriving at Hamad International Airport

If you are flying from Doha in First or Business Class with Qatar Airways, the most convenient access to the airport is through Entry Gate 1.  Economy class passengers will find it easiest to enter the departure hall through Entry Gates 2 and 3.
