Transportation and parking
The Regional Train Station (platforms 1-3) is located beneath Terminal 1. From here, S-Bahn commuter trains run to and from the centre of Frankfurt, with a journey time of 15 minutes from the city’s central station to the airport.
Platforms 4-7 are for long-distance trains from other locations such as Cologne, making this a convenient airport for passengers travelling from across Germany. Regular buses and shuttles run from the centre of Frankfurt and take approximately 15 minutes. Taxis are plentiful and take around 20-30 minutes depending on the traffic and the time of day.
Parking for around 14,000 vehicles is available in multi-storey buildings and a long-term parking area is located south of the runways with a regular shuttle bus linking to the terminals.
