Fare Families FAQs
Qatar Airways’ Fare Families are a diverse range of offers that give customers the flexibility to choose a fare and product that matches their travel needs.
Qatar Airways is introducing new entry level unbundled Economy Lite and Business Lite fare families. Furthermore, it is embedding permanent flexibility features in select Economy and Business fare families.
The changes will go into effect for sales starting 4 September 2021 for travel from 1 October 2021. For tickets issued outside this timeframe, the current fare families will be honoured.
Qatar Airways is adding additional options in a bid to offer greater choice to its passengers. Each fare family offers passengers a clear, distinct set of products and services designed to meet the specific needs of its broad customer base.
We appreciate the challenges that customers face today when it comes to planning for international travel. To give the utmost confidence, we will continue to give customers full flexibility for all travel completed by 31 May 2022. For details, please refer to our website.
Customers booking through other airlines will benefit from the terms and conditions of the issuing carrier.
Customers booking through Qatar Airways will benefit from the Qatar Airways terms and conditions.
All passenger types except infants will benefit from the updated fare families. No changes are being made to the infant offering.
Attributes as per journey will be applicable (per direction / bound).
If there is a mix between short haul First and Business, the fare basis class will apply.
Core attributes including baggage and seating eligibility will be filed for the GDS. However, fare family brand names will only be displayed through rich content enabled interfaces
