Win a Paris Saint-Germain experience in Paris

We are excited to announce the winners of the Ultimate Paris Saint-Germain Experience in Paris. 

Congratulations to Susan Paskalj from Breakaway Travel in Sydney for winning the 'Top Seller Prize', and Cassandra Oates from Tayler Made Travel in Adelaide for winning the 'Best Answer Prize'.

Terms and conditions

1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2.  Only Australian travel agents based in Australia invited directly by Qatar Airways Group Q.C.S.C. (Qatar Airways or Promoter) are eligible for entry into this incentive. Online travel agencies are not eligible to participate. Employees, officers, directors and agents of Qatar Airways and its subsidiaries, and each of their immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members are not eligible to participate.

3. The winners must be actively working with an Australian-based travel agency (excluding online travel agencies) at the time of winning and taking the prize.

4. Entries into the promotion open at 08:00am AEDT on 9 April 2024 and close at 11:59pm AEST on 31 May 2024 (“Promotional Period”).

5. To enter the promotion, eligible entrants must, during the Promotional Period, issue tickets for flights on Qatar Airways departing from Australia between 9 April 2024 and 30 September 2024 inclusive (excluding group and infant bookings) on 157 stock only (Eligible Sales), and then:

(a) Entrants must fully complete and submit the entry form located at https://www.qatarairways.com/en-au/offers/win-a-paris-saint-germain-experience-in-paris.html, including details of all Eligible Sales, during the Promotional Period. The entrant will be allocated points for each Eligible Sale as follows: (i) 1 point for each Economy Class ticket; (ii) 2 points for each First Class or Business Class ticket; (iii) 1 bonus point for each stopover in Qatar as part of Eligible Sales. Entrants may enter multiple times, but each Eligible Sale may only be submitted once. At the end of the Promotional Period, the entrant with highest number of points allocated from Eligible Sales will win a prize (Top Seller Prize). In the event of a tie for the highest number of points, the Top Seller Prize will be awarded to the tied entrant with the highest total revenue generated from Eligible Sales.

(b) Entrants can choose to enter to be eligible for a second prize (Best Answer Prize) by making at least one Eligible Sale and sending an email to auincentive@au.qatarairways.com during the Promotional Period including their name, travel agency, email and phone contact details, booking reference for an Eligible Sale and an answer to the bonus question: "Tell us in 25 words or less why should you win a Paris Saint-Germain experience in Paris.". The entrant judged to answer the bonus question with the most creativity will qualify as the winner of the Best Answer. Multiple entries are permitted, provided that each answer is unique and each entry refers to a separate Eligible Sale.

6. Winners will be notified in writing and by phone using the contact information provided at the time of entry.

7. There will be two (2) x prizes available to be won, being one Top Seller Prize and one Best Answer Prize. Each prize will consist of:

  • Two (2) return economy class tickets on Qatar Airways from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth or Brisbane to Paris via Doha, Qatar;
  • Four (4) nights’ twin share accommodation at the Mercure Paris Centre Eiffel Tower Hotel (or similar);
  • Two (2) tickets to the Visit Qatar Suite at the Parc des Prince for a Paris Saint-Germain home match including game entry and a food and beverage package; and
  • One (1) night twin share accommodation at a Discover Qatar 5-star hotel stopover in Doha with 24-hour check-in and Discover Doha City Tour included.
  • Total prize value is AUD 7,300 per prize, or AUD 14,600 in total for both prizes.

8. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, employment and place of residence) and reserves the right to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

9. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

10. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.

11. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter may determine the identity of the entrant, in its reasonable discretion.

12. Each winner and their chosen companion must travel together and must have valid government-issued documents as required for the itinerary and be legally able to travel without a legal guardian. Winners are responsible for any and all taxes, fees, security and passenger facility charges applicable to the airfares, which will not be issued without payment for taxes and fees. Winners are responsible for the cost of any additional accommodation, visas, passports, insurance and transportation to and from the specified departure city, and/or lodging expenses, meals, and other travel expenses not specifically included in the prize described in clause 7. The prize tickets do not entitle the holder to any mileage credit as part of the Privilege Club program. Travel insurance is not included in the prize. Qatar Airways strongly recommends each winner and their companion purchase suitable comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure. Prize must be taken during November 2024 on dates determined by the Promoter to coincide with the designated Paris Saint-Germain home match and is subject to availability at the time of booking. Qatar Airways is not liable for any expense incurred as a consequence of a flight cancellation or flight delay. Travel is subject to availability. Flight schedules are subject to change without notice.

13. If for any reason the winner does not take or redeem a prize (or part of a prize) or the winner or companion does not participate in a part of the prize at/by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that part of the prize) will be forfeited.

14. If a prize (or part of a prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, may substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.

15. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

16. Entrants consent (in the event they are a winner) and winners' travelling companions consent (as a condition of participating in the prize) to Qatar Airways using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by Qatar Airways.

17. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention, fraud, cancellation of event, changes, government restrictions, epidemics, pandemics or health concerns, the Promoter may to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

18. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.

19. Participation of Paris Saint-Germain players pictured is not guaranteed.

20. Nothing in this clause 20 limits any right or guarantee (Non-Excludable Guarantees) the Participant may have under Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and any equivalent state or territory legislation (Australian Consumer Law) or any other applicable laws and conventions that cannot lawfully be excluded. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including their respective officers, employees and agents) are not responsible for and exclude all liability for any personal injury and any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) an event of force majeure; (b) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction; (c) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (d) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (e) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions after the date of these Terms and Conditions; (f) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (g) use of a prize. For the purposes of this clause 20, an event of force majeure means: (a) an act of God; (b) war; (c) any act of terrorism; (d) revolution; (e) any unlawful act against public order or authority; (f) a strike or industrial dispute; (g) an act or omission of a government agency; (h) an epidemic or pandemic; or any other event (whether the same or different to the events set out in (a) to (h) above) that is out of the Promoter's reasonable control.
