IATA Travel Industry Designator Service (TIDS)
Qatar Airways requires all partner agencies to be accredited.
IATA provides a free accreditation service known as “TIDS” for agencies who are not accredited under the traditional IATA Accreditation program.
What is the IATA TIDS program:
TIDS is an Identity Management solution offered by IATA to non-accredited Agents/Sales Intermediaries globally.(except in the United States where another similar program is offered)
What is the TIDS registration process:
- Complete IATA’s TIDS online application form;
- Provide IATA with the required supporting documentation;
- IATA evaluates the application and upon acceptance, allocates a unique identification code;
What are the benefits of having TIDS code:
- Industry-wide recognition;
- Accurate identification of all sales activities;
- IATA offers this travel seller identification program as Free of Cost;

IATA Travel Industry Designator Service (TIDS) – Joining Process
Step 1:
Gather the below mentioned supporting documents:
- Documentation supporting the legal form of business (e.g., Article of Incorporation).
- Copy of the business registration, including tax registration or applicable.
- Government-issued license for sale of travel-related services where applicable.
- Bank letter or statement of account in the name of the business.
- One letter of recommendation from an IATA Airline, GDS or other major industry suppliers.
- Signed copy of the TIDS Terms and Conditions.
Step 2:
- Log-in / Register on IATA Customer Portal.
Step 3:
- Select TIDS under Services area.
Step 4:
- Complete your TIDS application online and click Submit.
Step 5:
- Once approved, IATA team sends email with TIDS details.
