As a capital city and European business centre, Paris has many amenities for business travellers.

- Paris is an incredibly well connected city and there are 400 free Wi-Fi access points around the city. Many coffee shops also offer free Wi-Fi so you can do business from practically anywhere.
- The quickest and easiest way to travel anywhere in Paris is by Métro - the French capital’s underground rail network. Stations can be found all over the city and you have a choice of purchasing a single ticket or a daily, weekly or monthly pass. There are also many taxi stands around the city if you prefer to be driven. Pre-bookable services such as Uber are also available
- Paris is home to most of the major international hotel chains, all of which offer classy accommodation and luxury amenities. There are also many independent hotels where you can stay in opulent surroundings.
Business and financial centres in Paris
The main business and financial centre in Paris is the 2nd arrondissement, home to the Parisian stock exchange known as the Paris Bourse or Euronext Paris. The second biggest business district is La Défense - a purpose-built business district and home to many companies, with a large proportion in finance and insurance industries.
Leisure and relaxation in Paris
A cultural epicentre, Paris is home to some of the best known galleries and museums in the world, and a visit to the city would not be complete without seeing the Eiffel Tower, walking at the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, and spending some time at The Louvre – home to the iconic Mona Lisa.
If you want to indulge in more of Paris’s cultural offerings, tickets to the opera are certainly a must. The largest opera houses in the city are Opéra Garnier, which plays host to classical ballets and operas, and Opéra Bastille, which tends to have a more modern repertoire.
Fine dining and shopping in Paris
There are few cities in the world that can offer a better dining and shopping experience than the French capital. For a luxurious dining experience you can visit one of the many Michelin starred restaurants — although it will be worth making reservations before you travel to avoid disappointment.
As one of the main fashion capitals of the world, you will find designer boutiques all over Paris. The 8th arrondissement is perfect for couture, with beautiful boutiques along Canal St-Martin and in the arcades of Palais Royal.
