Flights to Kuwait with Qatar Airways

Kuwait attracts not just leisure visitors but thousands of business travellers too, thanks to its wealthy, oil-based economy. The country has embraced change and has plenty to offer travellers keen to experience an authentic Arabian way of life. Tradition goes hand-in-hand with progress in Kuwait, creating a vibrant, dynamic atmosphere. Travel to Kuwait with Qatar Airways and explore a rich and largely pristine aspect of Arabian lifestyle.

Kuwait possesses many excellent cultural attractions for the visitor and remains, as it always was, an oasis in the midst of great expanses of desert. This juxtaposition of sandy wastes and high culture, as well as attractions such as the famous souk and Corniche, museums, galleries and fine restaurants, all help make Kuwait a multi-faceted jewel of a destination.

If you’re interested in exploring some of Kuwait’s past, head first for the historic district in Kuwait City and visit the Dar al Funoon Art Gallery and take a walk across the old city walls. The Bait al-Othman Museum is also worth a visit for a glimpse of the country’s old exploits.  Alternatively, stay in the 21st century and drop in to the ultra-modern Kuwait Scientific Centre with its museum and IMAX cinema.

Outside of Kuwait City itself there are several other interesting areas to explore, such as the Farwaniyah port area just outside the city. For the best beaches, head for Salmiya, about a 15-minute drive from Kuwait City. Here, you’ll find some great and uncrowded locations, as well as some high-end residential developments. Failaka Island is popular for its mild climate in springtime, and offers a range of outdoor activities such as fishing, sailing and swimming. Fly to Kuwait with Qatar Airways and you’ll discover a great destination in the Gulf area.
