Flights to Namibia with Qatar Airways

Namibia has some of the most stunning landscapes to be found anywhere in Africa. This southern African country is home to some of the most impressive geographical features in the continent, including the famous Fish River Canyon. Travel to Namibia with Qatar Airways and you can explore the country’s great national parks and dramatic Atlantic coastline.

The country is home to many native species of wildlife such as a large population of cheetahs. Etosha National Park in the northwestern region of the country, is one of the best game parks on the continent, and one of the largest, with more than 100 different species of mammal and 31 vegetation zones. Take an organised safaris and get close to rhinos, elephants and numerous other game animals.

The northern shore of Namibia is evocatively known as the Skeleton Coast because of the castaways and ships that have washed up down the centuries. It’s a wild and foggy landscape with a rich flora and fauna and inland springs. Fish River Canyon farther to the south is the second deepest of its kind in the world, and has plenty of hiking trails which are popular with visitors seeking scenic walking routes.

Namibia has had an interesting history in recent centuries and is full of relics of the colonial era. Windhoek, Namibia’s centrally located capital city is distinguished by its unusual German buildings from that time. While you’re in the city, explore rock-art displays at the National Museum of Namibia and take a look at other displays shining a light on the green past – or if you would like a more laid-back activity, plan a picnic at the leafy Zoo Park.
