Flying from Sao Paulo
Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos–Governador André Franco Montoro International Airport (also known locally as Cumbica Airport) is the main international airport serving Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Its central location and proximity to the country’s main tourist resorts makes it a hugely important passenger hub. It also has the accolade of having the Tropic of Capricorn pass through its southern tip. The airport is modern, busy and has plenty of facilities for passengers flying from Sao Paulo with Qatar Airways.
Parking and transportation
The airport is vast, but is well served by a network of buses supplied by both the airport and independent operators. Line 13 of the Sao Paulo's suburban rail system, the CPTM, is under construction and is expected to begin operating this year.
Taxi stands are located outside the two terminals, and hotels along Paulista Avenue and Rua Augusta are happy to organise airport transportation by limousine or taxi for passengers.
There are two main parking locations, one of which is located approximately 2km from the airport but connects to the terminals with regular bus shuttle services. A second short-stay ‘Park and Board’ car park is located four minutes from the main airport.

Terminal 3 has recently been revamped, and there is a selection of retail outlets selling premium quality goods and accessories now located in T3. Currency exchange facilities and ATMs are positioned throughout the terminal, as are a number of refreshment suppliers, including cafés for light snacks and drinks. These are mainly focused around the mezzanine area in T3.
