Flying from Zurich
Switzerland is known for its clean cities, stunning Alpine scenery and friendly, welcoming people. Its international airport is no different, providing passengers flying from Zurich with Qatar Airways an excellent starting point for their travels.
The airport is just eight miles from the centre of Zurich, making it easily accessible from the city as well as other locations throughout the country.

Transportation and parking
Transport from central Zurich is quick and easy, with a Swiss Federal Railways station located right in the centre of the airport under the Gates B area. Journey time from the centre of the city is just 10 minutes. The bus terminal is located next to the P2 car park, with buses from the city and surrounding villages running regularly to the airport.
Taxis take just 20 minutes from the centre of the city, while a coach service connects the airport to major ski resorts and locations further afield. Three multistorey car parks (P1, P2 and P3) are directly connected to the terminal, while additional short-term parking (P5) is also available a little further away.
Car park P60 is an open-air, long-stay facility, located some distance away and linked to the terminals by a shuttle bus service. Valet parking is available.
Arriving in Zurich
Passengers flying from Zurich with Qatar Airways depart from Terminal E, which is purely for non-Schengen international flights. It is connected to the Airside Center by the Skymetro, an automated underground people mover.
As with all European airports, security is very strict, although the efficiency of the staff ensure that delays are kept to an absolute minimum. Allow between one and two hours before your flight is due to depart to check in and clear customs and security checks.
Facilities and amenities
A number of lounges are available for first and business-class passengers, as well as customers of particular airlines or for those with lounge-access cards. There are no business facilities at the airport, but limited amenities (including fax and photocopying) are available in the service centre on the first floor of the P2 car park.
Internet access is free for the first 60 minutes, and Wi-Fi hotspots are located throughout the terminal. The food court provides an excellent selection of snacks, pastries and coffee as well as a Swiss chalet-style restaurant, Italian and Indian restaurants and fast food outlets.
The Airport Shopping Centre is very well stocked, with outlets selling high-end luxury goods, particularly some very fine watches, as well as accessories, travel goods and Duty Free.
