Book flights from Venice to Tokyo with Qatar Airways

If you value comfort and style in air travel, then flights from Venice to Tokyo with Qatar Airways will be tailor-made for you. Enjoy spacious, elegantly designed cabins, and a superb menu flight cuisine, as well as top-quality entertainment options. Meanwhile, an attentive cabin crew will take care of all your needs on board.

Tokyo is packed with cultural and historic monuments and venues that make it one of the most exciting of the world’s cities to visit. The Imperial Palace is set in beautiful formal gardens and surrounded by cherry blossoms, and is one of the most popular sights here. There’s also a world-class zoo, and if you enjoy fine cuisine then Tokyo has some of the smartest gourmet restaurants in the region.

Flying from Venice

A remarkable destination deserves a remarkable airport, and Venice Marco Polo Airport doesn’t disappoint. Elegant, well designed and efficient, it makes the ideal starting point for your journey. Staff are helpful and friendly, and focused on delivering an outstanding passenger experience from the moment you walk through the doors to the moment you board your flight.

Passengers flying from Venice with Qatar Airways will find that the facilities are good, and check-in procedures are well organised and smooth, making your departure pleasant.

Transportation and parking

Transport to and from Venice Marco Polo Airport can be either through the usual ways – rail, bus and taxi – or by the more scenic method of water taxi.

Venice-Mestre railway station is connected to the airport by the ATVO Fly Bus, while plenty of other buses ferry passengers from Venice and the surrounding area quickly and efficiently.

Taxis run to and from the city and shared taxis are available if you are travelling with companions or work colleagues, for example. The water taxis are very popular and offer you a lasting memory of this remarkable city as you travel towards the airport. Journey time is around 75 minutes.

Parking at the airport is quite good, with long-term and open-air car parks next to the old terminal. There are two more large open-air long-term car parks a short distance from the terminal, and a short-term car park is located directly opposite the airport terminal. Parking can be booked in advance.

Arriving in Venice

Passengers flying from Venice with Qatar Airways depart from the 2nd floor Departures area in the main terminal. There are a total of 70 check-in desks and two lounges for passengers.

As with all European airports, security is tight so allow at least an hour and a half to two hours to check in and clear customs and security checks.

Facilities and amenities

Facilities are good at the airport. Wi-Fi is available for a fee, and there are also fixed internet points throughout the terminal. ATMs and Bureau de Change facilities are plentiful, while an on-site post office also provides currency exchange and some limited business facilities such as faxing.

Food and drink, as you would expect in Italy, is very good and ranges from casual coffee and beverage stalls through to more formal, restaurant-style meals.

Shopping is also good – look out in particular for Venetian glass and leather goods.

Arriving in Narita, Tokyo

While most people will constrain their visit to Narita purely to travel to and from the airport on the way to nearby Tokyo, the town itself does have plenty to offer visitors who are willing to stop and look around. Book a flight to Narita with Qatar Airways and you could discover this interesting little destination for yourself, before you head to the bright lights of Tokyo.

Charming and with plenty of traditional Japanese character, Narita is a relatively tranquil location that gives visitors a taste of the real Japan. The people are friendly and welcoming, and are happy to show tourists willing to interrupt their journey to the capital around their little town. Nearby attractions make this off-the-beaten-track location well worth exploring.

Tourist attractions

The town is known for its ancient buildings, and one of the best is the Naritasan Shinshō-ji Temple, the site of which dates back to the 10th century. Classical pagodas and tranquil gardens are complemented by a European style garden too, making it an interesting fusion of two distinctly different cultures.

To really understand a little more about Japanese culture, take a trip to Boso No Mura, a living museum dedicated to the culture of the Japanese people. It includes a reconstructed traditional Japanese street, burial mound and a samurai residence. The centre hosts festivals and events celebrating the native culture of Japan’s islands too.

The Museum of Aeronautical Science is about 15 minutes by bus from the airport, while at the northern end of the runway you’ll find a surprisingly tranquil spot, Sakura-no-Yama Hill. This is a great spot to watch the aeroplanes take off and land, and during the spring the cherry trees turn this peaceful little park into a riot of colour.

Travel Considerations

Flights to Narita with Qatar Airways land at Narita Airport, Japan’s largest international air transport hub. Visa restrictions for entry into the country will depend on your country of origin, length of stay and whether your trip is for business or pleasure. Before you fly to Narita please check the visa and passport requirements.
