Parking and transportation

Perth Airport is very business-focused, providing plenty of parking and easy transportation to, and from, the city of Perth for business users.

Long-term parking is just 10 minutes away from the International Terminal 1, and a shuttle bus runs every few minutes from the parking area to the terminal. Both short and long-term parking areas are patrolled by 24-hour security.

The Perth Airport Connect shuttle bus runs from East Perth train station, and other locations in the city, to Terminal 3. International travellers can then connect with a shuttle bus service to take them to Terminal 1. Covered taxi ranks are located outside the main entrance to the terminal.

Arriving in Perth

Tourist attractions

The whole of Venice is a tourist attraction, but it’s worth seeking out those unexpected gems by exploring its labyrinth of alleyways and squares. You can also head out to the islands on the lagoon, where you’ll find everything from the famous Venetian glass studios to the fascinating mausoleums of the island cemetery, the final resting place for the city’s great and good.

Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale) on San Marco Square is a must-see, and ensure that your ticket includes the guided tour ‘Secret Itinerary’, which takes you into the heart of the building, including Casanova’s jail. Also on the square is the iconic Clock Tower – the exquisitely painted clock face is truly exceptional and decorated with the phases of the moon as well as the hours.

Sailing down the canals on a gondola is a great way to see the city, although if you prefer a more ‘hop-on-hop-off’ approach the water buses are cheap, plentiful and run throughout the city and the surrounding lagoon. Obviously, keep an eye out for the Rialto Bridge, but Venice’s other bridges all have their own unique features, including some particularly gruesome gargoyles.
